Hello everyone,

A few days ago I was editing an episode of my podcast and, as always, I ran into the same problem: background noise. I live in a normal apartment, with the refrigerator in the background, street traffic, and, to top it all off, that never-ending construction project next door. 😅

I'd been looking for a solution for a while that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg or require me to learn super complex programs. And the truth is, I read a lot about AI tools on the forum, so I started trying some out.

I stumbled upon VoiceEnhancer (https://voiceenhancer.ai/) almost by chance, and since it's saved me on a couple of recordings, I thought I'd share it here. I don't want this to sound like an advertorial; it's simply my experience after using it for several projects.

What is Voice Enhancer and why did it catch my attention?

VoiceEnhancer is an online tool that uses artificial intelligence to clean and improve audio quality. What immediately hooked me is that you don't need to register or provide your email address. You open the website, upload your file, and that's it. I've tried many "free" tools that then require a credit card to download the results, and this one doesn't.

It's a free online AI audio enhancer that works directly in your browser, without any installation. For someone like me, who edits on the fly and doesn't have time for audio production courses, this was a huge plus.

Voice Enhancer features that I use most in my daily life

Eliminate background noise without making the voice sound artificial.

This is the standout feature and what surprised me the most. I ran a recording I made in a coffee shop (with cups, background conversations, and the coffee machine beeping) and the result was quite clean. The best part is that my voice didn't lose its naturalness. I've tried other free AI voice enhancers that remove noise but leave the voice with a metallic effect or as if it were underwater. With VoiceEnhancer, the result is much more natural.

Supported formats and video files

I'm incredibly grateful for this. I can directly upload a video (MP4, MOV, AVI), and the tool extracts the audio, processes it, and returns the result. Before, I had to separate the audio with another program, process it, and then reassemble it. Now, in just one step, I have clean audio ready to sync.

Smart editing that saves me hours of work

In addition to noise reduction, the speech enhancer has other features that, for me, make all the difference:

  • Eliminate mouth sounds : Those clicks and pops that creep in when you speak, especially when you're close to the microphone.
  • Remove long silences : Automatically cuts those eternal pauses that we sometimes leave unintentionally.
  • Eliminate filler words : The typical "uhh", "um...", "well..." that are a pain to remove one by one in editing.
  • AutoEQ and normalization : Balances the volume so that the voice sounds more even and professional.
For a content creator like me, these features literally save me hours of manual editing. And if you don't want to complicate things, simply pressing the noise removal button provides a noticeable improvement.

My actual experience after several weeks of using it

I've already processed quite a few recordings: podcast episodes, some voiceovers for videos, and even a recording of an online meeting that I needed transcribed. In every case, the result has been more than acceptable.

I'm not going to say it transforms audio recorded with your phone's microphone into a professional studio recording, because that would be a lie. But I can say that it greatly improves voice clarity and eliminates that constant background noise that's so distracting to the listener.

Another detail I like is that there's no time limit or file limit. I can process as many audio files as I need without worrying about quotas.

Who would you recommend Voice Enhancer to?

I think this free voice enhancer could be useful for:

  • Podcasters who record from home and do not have a soundproof studio.
  • Content creators for YouTube or TikTok who record outdoors or in rooms with poor acoustics.
  • Teachers and trainers who prepare educational content and need the audio to be clear.
  • Professionals who record meetings or interviews and then need to transcribe or share the audio.
  • Anyone who has a noisy recording and wants to clean it up without complicating their life.

Conclusion: Is it worth it?

For what it offers and for the price (zero euros), I honestly think so. It's not the most advanced tool on the market, nor does it have a thousand configuration options, but that simplicity is precisely what makes it useful. It works, it's fast, and it's free .

If, like me, you're always battling background noise and don't want to bother with professional software, I encourage you to give it a try. Upload an audio file, wait a few seconds, and decide if you're happy with the result.

If anyone else has tried it or knows of similar alternatives, I'd love to read about your experiences in the comments.

Greetings to the entire community!
